40th Annual Rodeo Rapid City Set to Kick Off
All Star Line Up Announced
One of the top PRCA rodeos in the nation, nominated 17 times as PRCA’s “Large Indoor Rodeo of the Year”, winning this award twice! Top PRCA contestants competing in seven different rodeo events for over $200,000 in prize money, Saturday, Jan. 28th at 1:30 pm, February 2nd & 3rd at 7:30, February 4th at 7:30 pm in the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
Rodeo Rapid City features 604 top PRCA contestants including five of the 2016 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo World Champions; All-Around Junior Nogueira, Steer Wrestling Tyler Waguespack, Team Roping Levi Simpson & Jeremy Buhler, Saddle Bronc Zeke Thurston and Tie Down Tyson Durfey; Many former World Champions including Trevor Brazile, Cody Ohl and Shane Proctor. World Champion Saddle Bronc brothers Cody, Jesse & Spencer Wright, along with their brother Rusty and son of Cody, Ryder Wright all Wrangler National Finals competitors!
Rodeo personnel Jan. 27th & 28th will feature the most decorated Barrelman in PRCA history, superstar, Keith Isley! And specialty Act entertainment by Loop Rawlins; Award Winning Wild West Performer. Trick Roping, Whip Cracking, & Gun Spinning. Best known for his appearance on the hit television show, 'America's Got Talent', qualifying for the Quarterfinals.
February 1st-4th rodeo personnel will include 6X PRCA Announcer of the Year, Wayne Brooks and 8X award winning PRCA Barrelman, John Harrison, the 2017 PRCA Clown of the Year & Coors Man in the Can! Don’t miss the wild specialty events being held during these performances which includes North American Trick Riding Finals, Free Style Bullfight competitions, Wild Horse Race action and a special shoot off with the Rodeo Rapid City Mounted Shooting Champion!
