EVENT STAFF

Job Summary: This position is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service to patrons and visitors at The Monument by performing a variety of tasks, including ticket scanning, seating assistance, and guest engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide a positive first impression by warmly greeting patrons upon their entrance to The Monument events. Address any questions or concerns they may have, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
  • Efficiently scan electronic tickets from patrons as they arrive, ensuring a swift and organized entry process.
  • Greet patrons with a smile and be able to direct them to their designated seats if necessary. Maintain an understanding of the facility layout to assist with efficient directions to various locations.
  • Assist with security measures as needed, which may include monitoring crowd behavior, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and coordinating with security personnel to address any issues that arise during events.

Qualifications:

  • Must be age 18 or older.


Work Environment:

  • This position is event-based and requires working evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the event schedule at The Monument. Shifts may vary in length and frequency, based on the needs of each event.
  • Work is performed primarily in a fast-paced, public environment with large crowds and moderate to high levels of noise. The role involves standing and walking for extended periods, navigating stairs or ramps, and occasional exposure to outdoor elements when working near entrances or exterior areas of the venue.
  • Team members may also be exposed to flashing lights, amplified sound, theatrical effects, and pyrotechnics during certain performances or productions.
  • This position requires comfort working in close proximity to guests, using handheld scanning devices, and responding promptly to questions or concerns in a professional and welcoming manner. Occasional lifting or repositioning of crowd control equipment (up to 25 lbs) may be required.
  • This role also calls for strong situational awareness, the ability to remain calm and courteous in crowded or high-pressure situations, and a commitment to guest safety and positive experiences at all times.

GREETER

Job Summary: The greeter at The Monument is our guests’ first point of contact. They are a friendly face to the public and will communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
Wage: $13.67-$15.07

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
·        Greets guests upon entering The Monument facility and provides direction and assistance as needed.
·        Patrols the facility and grounds, observing any guest/non-guest activity, safety concerns, and/or violations of law, or applicable city ordinances.
·        Facilitates the locking and unlocking of rooms and entrances of facility.
·        Escorts trespassers, discharged guests and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
·        Interacts with the guests who enter the facility ensuring a safe, and welcoming atmosphere for all in the facility.
·        May serve as first point of contact and initiates 911 call when required, assisting in emergency responses and operations.
·        Demonstrates sound judgement and the ability to influence behavior of persons with diverse cultural backgrounds, language fluency difficulties, and/or limited capacity.
·        All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
·        Must be 18 years or older.
·        Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
·        Must be able to lift, pull, push and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
·        Ability to work assigned shifts which may include days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
 
Work Environment:
This position is primarily indoors but while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. May be exposed to loud events while on duty. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places, outside weather conditions; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud with frequent interruptions to be expected. The role also involves navigating typical crowd management challenges in environments with loud music, varying audience sizes, diverse entertainment formats, and the presence of alcohol. Events may include dynamic lighting, strobe effects, pyrotechnics, and other sensory elements that require awareness and adaptability.

CENTRAL/DISPATCH

Job Summary: This position provides command and control of radio communication network during events and is responsible for the dispatching of correct assets as determined by the situation. Schedule is based on event schedule and times will vary. Most events will be evenings and weekends.

Wage: $13.86-$15.82

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
·        Monitor all radio communications and dispatch the correct department to handle the situation.
·        Prioritize calls based on severity of incident or potential risks.
·        Keep detailed reports of all calls for service. i.e. times, location, staff sent, how situation was resolved, etc.
·        View static cameras and notify supervisor or manager when incidents arise.
·        Follow procedures for dispatching personnel in non-emergency and emergency situations.
·        Ensure all calls for service are handled in a timely manner and within facility time frames.
·        Ensure staff complete required reports for incidents.
·        Monitor and control gate access.
·        Serve as primary contact to emergency services when necessary.
·        Monitor door access and check credentials through security entrance.
·        All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
·        Must be 18 years or older. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
·        High school diploma required. Security, Law-Enforcement, or Dispatch Experience preferred.
·        Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
·        Must be able to operate base station radio. Ability to effectively and efficiently handle multiple calls taking place at the same time.
·        Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time, and must be able to lift, pull, push or move items up to 25 pounds.

This position is indoors. May be exposed to loud noises depending on event.
